How long am I obligated to use the service when I sign up?
You are billed quarterly (3 months). Under our normal contract you are never obligated beyond the current billing quarter.
What is the cheapest green screen backdrop I can get?
Try this Amazon search. For around $25 you can get a 10 x 12 Chroma Key backdrop. Hang it from a wall with thumb tacks or make a do it yourself stand from 1 1/4 inch PVC pipe from Home Depot.
Is there a limit on how many photos I can send?
There is no limit to the number of emails you can send. We have had no issue handling hundreds of emailed images per day.
Are there restrictions on the photos that can be used for the background?
As with any image you use, you must own the copyright or have permission to use the photos that you supply as a background. In most cases, these images will come from your museum's collection so you already know what is required.
Can the photos be printed?
Yes! Although we do not print the photos, a standard jpeg format image is attached to the reply email. Nothing is done to the photos to make them unprintable. From a quality stand point, we would not recommend printing anything larger than a 4"x6" print. If you have printing requirements, please contact us.
Can I use a regular camera?
Yes! As long as the image can be emailed to our server, there is no restriction on what device is used to take the photo.
How large can the picture I send in be?
Any image size will work, 2MB or larger images make for a better green screen image. Note that some email services have a maximum attachment size.
How large are the photos being sent out?
The outgoing photos are approximately 1MB in size. If higher resolution or lower bandwidth usage is desired, this can be adjusted.
Can I use this service to collect non green screen photos?
Yes! A special email address can be setup to collect, brand, and redistribute photos without green screen replacement.
Can the photos go to an on line gallery in real time?
Yes! The images can be uploaded to an online gallery as they are sent it. We can place a link in the reply email so your visitors can see all the photos from the event. Currently, we use Smugmug for our online galleries. This service requires an extra charge.
Can I receive a copy of the reply email in real time?
Yes! We can set a blind copy in the reply email so you will receive it at the same time the visitor does.
